Knock, Knock Knock

Knock knock knock knock knock
Don't stop the clock
knock knock knock
Don't stop the clock
Knock knock knock
Stop that clock
Knock knock knock
It goes tick tick tock
Stop that clock
Knock Knock Knock
STOP STOP STOP

Hop, hop, hop
All the way
 to the top
top top top
Do not stop
up up up
to the cup
all the way up
up to the top,
don't ever stop

clop clop clop
the horse goes
clop clop clop
the weepers go
weep weep weep

All the while the knocking never stops
Knock knock knock
His Clock stoped

Emily

My name is Emily, I was born in a warm home in a small town that most have never heard of. When I was a young girl I often was scared, and would cry myself to sleep that is until my mother told me the story of this forest elf. I know weird right? It’s what she told me. She told me that he would watch over me and keep me safe. What a foolish little girl I was. So foolish in fact I believed her. I believed her so well that I use to pretend there was one. I would meet him by this stump in the forest. I felt like a fairy tale come true. That was until one day I was taken away. Not in like kidnapped. Heavens no. I was to meet my future husband. However since I am promised to a man I have taken a vow of chastity, to save myself for him on our wedding night. It’s exciting really. I mean to know you’ll be married. But the problem is my mother-in-law. If anyone could make me mad it is that woman. She says I’m as stubborn as a mule and shy as a fox, I corrected her that it was sly as a fox and she tells me I’m impossible. But it is true, I might be stubborn but I was shy. In fact while girls will tell you of their stolen kisses I have but one kiss that I have ever had. I was so nervous I almost fainted to. It was on the night we announced I was to wed a month after my 18th birthday to him. Now I am allowed to go anywhere I want. A bit of a romantic as I am, though not physically, I wanted to go to that place where I grew up. I have matured much more from the small girl I once was but a child deep down with in me tells me to go look for my elf. Though I highly doubt I’d find him, there is a glimmer of hope that I to may tell my children to come since Henry, my fiancĂ© wants to have seven, that just seems like to many in my opinion but a woman’s doesn’t matter, not unless you want beaten with a belt, I had that happen once, for back talking my father only I got only two lickings and was let go. Still doesn’t change, I am stubborn, kind, shy, and dearly wish to be a mother, though I’m not so sure Henry is the one I am to be with. Perhaps this visit home will set my mind at ease for I have 8 months and then I am to wed and lose my purity, but am I losing it to the right man?

Intro to Isem paper

The Cellist of Sarajevo, by Steven Galloway -published in 2008-, follows three different characters in a time of war. It shows how people react to the same thing in different ways. Not only does it create a broader idea of what is happening in the book, but it also allows for an opportunity to connect with the characters on a personal  level. The book provides three different viewpoints for how the characters react differently when placed in the same situation. It makes it clear that everything they do has an affect on who they are. In turn defining the classifications that one of the characters has on the types of people their are in this world, through actions, mental beliefs of the situation, those around them, and how they have changed from before the war to the present day. Not only does it use three different characters, but each one has their own reason in doing things.

Starting the book reflection

Book Reflection:
Evaluate Each Characters views on the fallowing

What effects does the war have on the individual?

Arrow: Takes on a second identity almost. She does this to justify the diffrence between her killing and who she use to be before the war. In doing this she makes it easier to kill men stating that before she couldn't kill them. Before the war she was happy and carefree, after the war however she becomes a sniper and doesn't go by her real name so that she has no reason to feel guilty for those that she kills and hopes that in doing so she'll be able to go back to living a normal life.

One of my story Ideas

Have a Little Faith
This group of friends has been together through thick and thin, some with parents going threw devorce, a single parent getting married, a scare when ones sister was thought to have cancer. However things took a turn for the worst when they went to the woods one night. Celebrating the recent college finals Samuel (Black jacket) got them all some alcohol. There was a bit too much drinking involved and on the way home the four got into a wreck. Now Sam is dead and the rest of the group is falling apart, as they realize Sam was really the only one they have in common. However things change when Sam left something to the three of them in his will. Now with their friend gone and a tape to watch the group may fall apart or may go far. Sam seemed to have faith do they?
